Simlab 3D PDF Exporter for Rhino is a plugin that allows you to export your 3D models from Rhino to 3D PDF files, which can be viewed with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. Installing the Plugin
To install the plugin, you need to download it from Simlab's website [^1^] and run the installer. The plugin supports Rhino 5 - 7 on Windows. After installing the plugin, you will see a SimLab tab in Rhino's interface, where you can find the 3D PDF Exporter tab.
Requesting a Trial License
The plugin offers a trial license that is valid for 14 days or 30 trials, whichever comes first. To request a trial license, you need to open the Settings dialog from the 3D PDF Exporter tab and follow the steps shown here [^1^]. You will receive an email with a software key that you can use to activate the trial license.
Exporting a 3D PDF File
To export a 3D PDF file from Rhino, you need to select the objects you want to export and click on the Export button from the 3D PDF Exporter tab. You will see a dialog where you can choose a template for your 3D PDF file. The plugin comes with several pre-designed templates that you can use or customize with the Template Designer application. You can also create your own templates from scratch with this application. To launch the Template Designer, click on the New button from the Export dialog.
After selecting a template, click on Export and choose a name and location for your 3D PDF file. The plugin will export your model with its materials and textures, as well as any curves, polylines, measurements, annotations and units that you have in Rhino. You can also select between multiple scenes (3D and 2D) and cameras to be exported.

Merging Multiple 3D PDF Files
If you have multiple 3D PDF files that you want to merge together, you can use the Merge PDF option from the 3D PDF Exporter tab. This option will allow you to append one or more 3D PDF files to another one. You can use this feature to add a header, a footer, or a project description to your 3D PDF file.
To use this option, click on Merge PDF and select the main 3D PDF file that you want to merge with others. Then click on Add Files and select one or more 3D PDF files that you want to append to the main one. You can also change the order of the files by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
